Sarah joined the TOH crew in 2014, shortly after graduating summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a degree in Film, Video and Interactive Media. Her first several months on the job were spent in the office, answering phone calls and viewer emails. It was clear that her talents were more valuable in the field, so she was soon named Production Coordinator for both This Old House and Ask This Old House. In 2017, she was promoted to Associate Producer and turned her attention full time to Ask This Old House. In 2019, she was promoted again to Producer and has earned two Emmy nominations and one win in her first two years producing. Sarah learned the TV craft at Quinnipiac, where she produced several student productions and also held three internships at The Dr. Oz Show, Global Entertainment and Media, and WCVB-TV Chronicle. She also produced 26.2: Miles Closer to Living, a documentary about Boston Marathon bombing survivors. Her film was selected to screen at multiple film festivals including the Boston Film Festival. While Sarah brings strength to the production side, she’s no stranger to the construction aspects of the job either. Her father and brother are both land surveyors, and she developed an interest in CAD software her father used at an early age. She wanted to be an architect until she took a media class in high school and saw the value of visual storytelling, so she decided to enter the production industry instead. Thanks to her time on Ask This Old House, she is able to combine the two passions. Sarah and her husband currently live in their first home, a 1940s Cape just outside of Worcester, Massachusetts. The house could use some updating, but Sarah thinks she and her husband are up to the challenge.
